:) My hubs & I

The essential Bailey in bullet point:

  • I live and breathe photography. Literally, I have a dozen photo blogs at least that I follow daily.
  • I find creative people very inspirational, especially when I see things that are incredible and I never would have thought of, but instantly fall in love with.
  • I am a Gleek, like hardcore. 
  • I am also a Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings geek, and proud of it. Seriously going to cry at the last HP movie…
  • I love dancing, especially swing dancing. Matt (hubby) is a fabulous dancer and always manages to make me look good when dancing.
  • I am one of the most loyal people you will ever meet. The friends I have, I keep, no questions.
  • I absolutely LOVE to travel, anywhere and everywhere. If I could get paid to just go around the world and see the sights, I would do it. If I weren’t a photographer, I would be a tour guide.
  • I have a BA in Fine Arts Photography from Milligan College in TN (Go Buffalos!) and an MSc in History of Art from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
  • I lived in Scotland for 2 years while Matt and I got our Masters degrees. Best. Two. Years. Ever. I’m going to do a blog post soon about Scotland, so check back. And if you’ve never been, book a trip now, you won’t regret it!
  • I’ve been to 13 countries and 3 continents with many plans to visit more (yes, including hitting all 7 continents)
  • One of my life goals is to walk across the country of Andorra (it’s only 6 miles wide, but that’s 6 miles of Alps, so that may be a challenge…)
  • I have 2 main claims to fame at the moment: First, I met Kate Middleton and Prince William. (Ask and I’ll tell you the story) Second, I beat up a marine. Yes, me, the 5’6” non-confrontational girl beat up a marine. (Disclaimer: I am a second degree black belt and this occurred in a taekwon do class)
  • I have been married to my wonderful hubby Matt for 2.5 years.
  • I have moved 23 times in my life including moving back to Indiana from Scotland. I’m going for a record here. Also, if anyone ever needs packing tips, know that I am officially a packing guru.
  • I am a hardcore U2 fan. I love Bono, I love their music. I love their charity work. They’re ace.
  • I like experimenting with Polaroid cameras, doing emulsion lifts with the prints.
  • I regularly quote movies/ tv shows in everyday conversation, so keep up!

Reviews

‘My boyfriend and I recently had an amazing photo shoot with Bailey in Edinburgh, Scotland. Bailey’s friendly and professional attitude made her the ideal photographer to work with. Not only was she creative, while still making sure that we were comfortable, but was more than willing to let us contribute our ideas to the shoot making our photographs beautiful and exactly what we were looking for.’ –Adrienne

‘Of all of the things I was stressed out about (regarding the wedding), the photography was not one of them; I knew they would be perfect! Your attitude was completely professional, and your organization was a relief. Ryan and I both were very impressed. We simply could not have asked for a better photographer.’ –Haylie

‘My husband and I were married in May 2009 and Bailey did our wedding photographs. She has an elegant and unique style. Details that most photographers overlook, Bailey captured. Bailey cares about being effective and efficient, but she is also considerate of your wishes. I couldn’t have asked for better images of my wedding. As the bride, you feel like you miss so much of the wedding but now I have photographs to remind me of everything, even the things I missed! I highly recommend Bailey for those people who enjoy artistic shots with a sentimental and lasting value.’ –Sarah

‘My bride Kelley and I got married back in March (2010) and she did our photos, they were MAGNIFICENT! She really captured our special day and we will use her again, most definitely!’ -Jay
