Marina & Zack

I'm going to be posting some of the stories I have been e-mailed on here. Thanks to everyone who has been submitting. It's amazing to hear the stories behind the big day and I can't wait to hear more! :)

I got to enjoy the New Year with my fiance! We are both college students,
he's a senior, Zack, and myself I'm a junior, Marina. We
just celebrated our 5 year anniversary in November. Our Christmas break
began and we flew out to Virginia for a week long vacation. We were there
visiting his Sister in Norfolk, VA, she's air-traffic control for the air
force out there. She had the weekend off so we went site-seeing. We went
to Washington D.C. for the day, it was amazing! I was an idiot though, i
wore high-heeled boots and walked around for 8 hrs. Yes, I was absolutely
crazy. That night after I got out of the shower, she began telling me
about this place in Williamsburg, VA that we had to go visit, she said we
should wake up early go walk the shops and get some brunch. So the next
morning that's what we did. Zack was an absolute sweetheart to me the
whole morning. We went into a shop and I fell in with a pearl bracelet,
and he went ahead and bought it for me for christmas. His sister decided
she wanted to go see the college that was right down the road, Williams
and Mary College. We ended up "finding a bridge" "the Crim Dell Bridge"
and she asked us if we wanted to go on the bridge and she would take
pictures. It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. Zack held me
close as we walked to the crest of the bridge. And we looked at the
scenery. He kissed me very passionately and began telling that there was a
story behind the bridge. The story goes that when two lovers kiss at the
crest of the bridge and the complete there walk across the bridge they are
destined to be together forever. Then he began to tell me How happy he has
been with me over these amazing years together and tell me how much he
loved me. He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him....and I said
YES!!! The whole time I couldn't believe it... I felt like I was dreaming,
but the honest truth I wouldn't have been able to dream up that perfect of
a proposal. After I said yes, he said we had to complete our walk across
the bridge and we did. Then he began telling me that there was a catch,
That there's a curse that if we are to ever break up the woman will be
single forever unless she throws the man over the bridge where they sealed
their kiss. He began telling me that all the college girls take it very
seriously that they are afraid to walk over the bridge alone b/c they
don't want to seal their fate to be single forever. His sister took tons
of pictures which I was extremely thankful for, It was absolutely
beautiful. I never thought I would be this in love ever. I feel extremely
lucky to have found a perfect guy!
Thanks for your time to listen to my beautiful engagement story.
Marina
